  Polishing powder introduction:

  Polishing powder is usually composed of cerium oxide, alumina, silica, iron oxide, zirconia, chromium oxide, and the like. Different materials have different hardness, and chemical properties in water are also different, so the use occasions are different. Typically, cerium oxide polishing powder is used for polishing of glass and silicon-containing materials, alumina polishing powder for polishing of stainless steel, and iron oxide can also be used in glass, but the speed is slow, commonly used for polishing of the soft material. Stone polishing often uses tin oxide, and chromium oxide is often used in tile polishing.

  Polishing powder is usually from cerium oxide (VK-CE01), alumina (VK-L30F), silicon oxide (VK-SP50F), iron oxide, zirconia (VK-R30F), chromium oxide and other components. Composition, the hardness of different materials is different, and the chemical properties in the water are also different, so the use occasions are different. The mouss hardness of alumina and chromium oxide is 9, cerium oxide and zirconia are 7, and iron oxide is lower. The chemical activity of cerium oxide and silicate glass is high, and the hardness is also equivalent, and therefore widely used in polishing of glass. In order to increase the polishing speed of the cerium oxide, fluorine is usually added in the cerium oxide polishing powder to increase the grinding rate. Hybrid rare earth polishing powder having a lower cerium content is usually doped with 3-8 fluorine; pure oxide polishing powder is generally not fluorine.
